Sandy Bay Beach Club, Nusa Lembongan
One of our favourite places for dinner and drinks in Nusa Lembonghan was Sandy Bay Beach Club. We visited here on a number of occasions, including Valentine’s Day, which was extra special and a place I’ll always remember.
Set against a stunning beach backdrop, Sandy Bay is nestled alongside the beautiful white sands of Sunset Beach, South West from the more well known Mushroom Bay, on the small Balinese island of Nusa Lembonghan.
A beach club, hotel, spa and boutique, Sandy Bay is a beautiful place to relax with a cocktail by the pretty pool with a turquoise sea view. The restaurant itself is designed with a rustic beach-chic elegance and its open plan allows for the most scenic of beach views. I loved the white wooden floors, lanterns and the whole boho feel about the place.
Two out of three of our trips to Sandy Bay, were at sunset, which in my opinion is the best time to visit. It’s best to book before you go if you can, as it does get really busy and request a table for dinner by the pool if you can, as here you’ll get the best views of the beach at sunset and the sun going down on the pool/deck is really special. One of our sunsets here was so so magical and one i’ll always remember as the colour of the skies were unlike anything I had ever seen before. (Scroll down for snaps).
As the sun goes down the lovely Sandy Bay staff light the lanterns and candles all around, making the place even more magical. The view, alongside the delicious food, (local and western) cocktails and wine, are all gorgeous and really helped make our evenings on the island. We enjoyed the BBQ menu which was really good, lots of variety. We even ordered the same dish for dinner twice in the same week as we enjoyed it so much.
Alongside the beach club, Sandy Bay is also home to The Glo Spa. We didn’t get time to visit spa (there’s always next time) but pamper fans can enjoy a whole array of treatments aimed at relieving stress, boosting vitality and enchanting the senses.
There’s also a gorgeous little boutique attached to Sandy Lane called The Walking Tree boutique which is a beautifully laid out, with everything a beach boho lover could want, I really enjoyed looking in here and definitely recommend popping in on your visit for a browse. There’s plenty of beach chic fashion, gorgeous homewares with a fab selection of accessories, clothing and gifts. They also stock the local Albens hand crafted fruit cider which I loved and drank a fair few of during our stay in Nusa Lembonhan.
